35% Cabernet Sauvignon - 35% Merlot
15% Cabernet Franc - 15% Petit Verdot
The color is a brilliantly dark, rich ruby red. After swirling to open it up, the nose is a wonderfully rich array of ripe plum, cassis, black cherry, earth, and leather. A very deep and complex wine with each sip unveiling a different balance and aspect of the wine. It is more than just drinking wine, it is an actual experience! The finish is impossibly long, with terroir-driven earthiness being displayed prominently with well balanced tannins and acidity. A really neat wine.
Fermented separately with the focus being on extended skin contact to maximize extraction. Barrel aged 22 months in 30% new French oak, 70% neutral. All wines grown in the Paso Robles growing region, with the Cab and Merlot being grown on the world renowned Hammersky Vineyard.
This wine will age well for the next several years. Enjoy it with elegant hearty fare such as beef or wild game.
