78% Merlot
16% Cab Sauv
6% Cab Franc

The color is a deep, robust red, and the aromatics are an amazing array of ripe plum, minerals and spice.  The mouthfeel is big and traditional flavors of black raspberry, plum, leather and spice are framed with firm tannins and bright acidity.  It finishes smooth with oaky, toastiness framed with ripe black fruit and slight herbaciousness.  A very approachable red!

94% of these grapes were grown on the amazing Hammersky Vineyard, located on the western reaches of the Paso Robles appellation.  The remaining 6% were grown on another west side vineyard.  The goal for production was to create an approachable, ripe-style sipping wine from ultra-premium, west side grapes.  The wine was aged in a variety of French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels, 25% of which were new.

This wine is a natural for poultry or red meat, especially dishes with rich sauces.  You'll think you died and went to heaven!  Drink now or age 2-5 more years.  120 cases produced.
